What Are Proper Nouns?

Proper nouns are used to give common nouns a specific or particular name. They start with a capital letter. E.g. Boy is a common noun. John is a proper noun.

Can you come up with any proper nouns to match these common nouns?

Activity 2:

Play Common and Proper Noun Bingo. Take turns calling out either ‘proper’ or ‘common’, and put a counter on a correct square each time. The winner is the first person to get four in a row. You can then colour in your game board using blue for common nouns and red for proper nouns.
