Activity 2: Take a mindful walk
The practice of mindful walking is an opportunity to give our minds a break. We try to focus on the present moment with each step that we take. When we take a mindful walk, we are paying attention to how our body feels, our breathing and the nature around us.
How to take a mindful walk:
- Begin walking, a little slower than normal.
- Pay attention to each step that you take.
- Be aware of each breath.
- Breathe easily, but deeply.
- Use your 5 senses as you walk – what can you see, hear, smell, feel or taste?
