Activity 2: Take a mindful walk

The practice of mindful walking is an opportunity to give our minds a break. We try to focus on the present moment with each step that we take. When we take a mindful walk, we are paying attention to how our body feels, our breathing and the nature around us.

How to take a mindful walk:

  1. Begin walking, a little slower than normal.
  2. Pay attention to each step that you take.
  3. Be aware of each breath.
  4. Breathe easily, but deeply.
  5. Use your 5 senses as you walk – what can you see, hear, smell, feel or taste?
